After having his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the West Liberty University baseball program cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, Nico Pecora is back for his second year on the hilltop.
Pecora played four years of college ball as a catcher at NCAA Division II Pitt-Johnstown and also wrestled as a freshman. He was a baseball, football and wrestling standout at Richland (Pa.) High School, earning state runner-up honors at 170 pounds in the 2014 PIAA wrestling championships.
Nico earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with an Information Systems minor at Pitt-Johnstown and is working toward his MBA at West Liberty. He is the son of Tracy Pecora and West Liberty Hall of Famer Pat Pecora, head wrestling coach at Pitt-Johnstown.
