Former West Liberty University standout Colton Coss begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Hilltopper program. Coss served as a volunteer assistant coach for head coach Eric Burkle during the 2021-22 academic year.
   Coss started every game at shortstop during his last three seasons on the hilltop after transferring from NCAA Division I Morehead State. A .304 career hitter at West Liberty, he led the Hilltoppers with a .338 batting average during the 2019 season.
   Coss graduated from West Liberty in 2021 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
