ELKINS, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Davis & Elkins on Sunday in Mountain East Conference action.

The Senators took early control by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. The duos of Ethan Shepard and Pablo Zubieta, along with Austin Zgurski and Barney Cowan, each battled but fell by identical 6-3 scores, while Chris Burns and Ignacio Giurfa were edged 6-2 in the third position.

In singles play, Davis & Elkins maintained momentum, claiming all six matches in straight sets.

At the top of the lineup, Pablo Zubieta faced Philipp Fedorczuk, while Ignacio Giurfa took on Justus Petersilie in the No. 2 spot. Ethan Shepard and Austin Zgurski competed at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, with Barney Cowan and Chris Burns rounding out the lineup.

West Liberty will look to bounce back in its next Mountain East Conference match up, when they host Frostburg State Friday.
