West Liberty, W.Va. - The West Liberty University men's wrestling team returns to action on Friday, traveling to Gannon University for a tri-meet beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Highmark Events Center.
Joining the Hilltoppers and host Golden Knights will be East Stroudsburg, setting the stage for a competitive afternoon featuring three nationally ranked programs.
West Liberty enters the weekend with momentum after a 29-10 victory at Frostburg State in its most recent dual and carries an 8-5 dual record into Friday's action. The Hilltoppers also turned in a strong individual showing last weekend, placing two wrestlers at Sunday's Purple Raider Open hosted by Mount Union.
Gannon enters the tri-meet ranked No. 4 in the latest NWCA national poll, while all three programs appear in this week's Open Mat dual rankings. The Golden Knights are listed at No. 7, East Stroudsburg checks in at No. 19, and West Liberty is ranked No. 23.
