9/24/2025 8:00:00 AM

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's soccer team hits the road Wednesday evening for a Mountain East Conference matchup at Frostburg State. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. in Frostburg, Md.

The Hilltoppers (0-5, 0-3 MEC) are still searching for their first win of the season but have shown fight against a challenging early schedule. Rylyn Bielinski leads the Black and Gold with one goal on the year, while senior goalkeeper Cianna Butera has been tested heavily, recording 45 saves through five matches.

Frostburg State (2-2-1, 0-1-1 MEC) enters the contest looking to climb in the MEC North standings after battling to a draw last week. The Bobcats boast a balanced attack, scoring 14 goals in their first five matches. Reese Rizzo (3 goals, 1 assist) and Mollie Rebuck (2 goals, 1 assist) lead the way offensively, while goalkeeper Mia Graff has posted a 1.20 goals-against average.

West Liberty will aim to slow down Frostburg's high-volume offense, which averages nearly 20 shots per game, while generating more chances of their own after averaging just over five shots per contest so far this season.
