West Liberty Cross Country Unveils 2025 Fall Schedule

6/9/2025 2:00:00 PM

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – Coming off a pair of top-20 finishes at last year's NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championships, West Liberty University men's and women's  head cross country coach Jason Falvo has officially released the 2025 men's and women's cross country schedule. The Hilltoppers will compete in a competitive five-meet slate this fall as they look to climb even higher in the regional rankings.

The 2025 campaign gets underway on September 4 with the WLU Invitational, hosted at Bethany College in Bethany, W.Va. The Hilltoppers will return to the same course just over a week later for the Bethany College Invitational on September 13.

October features a pair of key races before the postseason slate. On October 4, the Hilltoppers travels to Kentucky for the University of Louisville Invitational – traditionally one of the largest and most competitive meets in the country. The Hilltoppers will then head to Pittsburgh on October 11 for the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, another deep field that will serve as a critical tune-up ahead of championship season.

The postseason begins October 25 with the Mountain East Conference Championships, at a site to be announced. West Liberty will look to improve on last year's finishes and position themselves for a strong showing at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championships, scheduled for November 8 in Lock Haven, Pa. A top-three finish there would punch a ticket to the NCAA Division II National Championships, hosted by UW-Parkside on November 22 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

With both squads coming off a solid top-20 regional finishes in 2024 - the men placing 13th and the women 19th - the Hilltoppers enter the 2025 season eager for the opportunity to compete.
