ELKINS, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's and women's tennis teams suffered setbacks on Friday against Davis & Elkins. The women fell by a score of 5-2, while the men were swept 7-0.
Despite the losses, the Hilltoppers found continued success at the top of the women's singles lineup. Evelina Martirosyan remained undefeated in No. 1 singles play, improving to 11-0 on the season with a hard-fought 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Fabienne Lahn. Omolade Aderemi also added to her impressive record, moving to 10-1 in No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-7, 10-4 win over Erin Laubscher.
