CLAYSVILLE, Pa. — The West Liberty University men's and women's tennis teams came up short against West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon at McGuffey High School in Claysville, Pa.

The Hilltopper women fell 5-2 to the Bobcats, while the men's team was blanked 7-0.

With the loss, the WLU women move to 5-5 overall and 2-2 in Mountain East Conference play. The men drop to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in MEC competition.

Despite the team setbacks, the women's squad had a pair of standout individual performances. Evelina Martirosyan remained undefeated in No. 1 singles, improving to 10-0 on the season with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 victory over Dominique Jansen. Omolade Aderemi followed suit in No. 2 singles, earning her ninth win of the season (9-1) with a 6-1, 7-6 win over Sneha Sundaraneedi.
