WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — Sophomore 149-pounder Tony Wood has been named this week's Hilltopper of the Week after turning in a dominant, statement-making performance at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational.
Wood, a native of Portland, Ind., put together one of the most impressive runs of the entire tournament, rolling to a 5–0 record on his way to the 149-pound championship. His path to the title showcased every part of his skill set—pace, pressure, and finishing ability—as he racked up bonus points in four of his five bouts.

His performance accounted for 26 team points, the highest total of any West Liberty wrestler in the field, and helped fuel another strong showing for the Hilltoppers early in the season.
Wood and the Hilltoppers return to action this weekend back in his home state at the Little State Invite in New Manchester, Ind.
