STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — The West Liberty University men's tennis team wrapped up its fall schedule in style Thursday afternoon, cruising past Franciscan University 6-1 at Belleview Park.
The Hilltoppers swept all three doubles courts to take the opening point in commanding fashion. The No. 1 duo of Pablo Zubieta and Austin Zgurski earned a 6–3 win, while Ignacio Giurfa and Ethan Shepard rolled to a 6–0 victory at No. 2. At No. 3, Chris Burns and Chance Brozstek completed the sweep with a 6–3 decision.
West Liberty carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of the six matches in straight sets.

At No. 1, Zubieta led the charge with a 6–1, 6–0 victory over David Drejza.

Shepard followed with a 6–1, 6–3 win at No. 2, while Giurfa rolled to a 6–3, 6–1 triumph at No. 3.

Zgurski added another straight-sets win at No. 4 (6–1, 6–2).

Aidan Lucas capped the strong day with a 6–3, 6–2 result at No. 6 singles.
Franciscan earned its lone point at the No. 5 position, where Chris Burns dropped a tight battle that ended in a 10-8 tie-break.
