Wheeling, W.Va. - The West Liberty University women's soccer team picked up their first Mountain East Conference win of the season Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Wheeling University.
The Toppers took a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute on Mia Zecca's second goal of the season. They would go up 2-0 when Morgan Kost put home a penalty kick in the 26th minute.
Topper Goalkeeper Cianna Butera made seven saves in the win.
West Liberty had 11 shots on goal, Morgan Kost led the way with five , Mia Zecca had three and Audrey Lantz had two.
West Liberty will return home to host Charleston, Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the West Family Athletic Complex.
