Huge First Half Leads Hilltoppers To Win

Bridgeport,W.Va. - The West Liberty University women's soccer team used a huge first half to cruise to a 9-1 win over Salem, Wednesday afternoon at the Bridge Sports Complex in Bridgeport, W.Va. Three Lady Hilltoppers(1-3) scored two-goals in the victory, Morgan Kost, Ellie Cunningham, and Isabella Aperfine

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • West Liberty scored six goals in the first half

 
  • The Hilltoppers put 24 shots on goal in the opening half and 36 in the game

 
  • Senior Morgan Kost had two goals and two assists in the game, the two assists tie the West Liberty record for most in a game most recently by Amelia Compston at Notre Dame (Sept. 7, 2022)
