Johnstown, Pa. - The West Liberty University men's wrestling team flexed their muscle in their dual with No.9/10 Pitt-Johnstown Thursday on the Mountain Cats mat, winning seven of the ten matches, on their way to a 23-10 victory. 

In their first meeting since the passing of the legendary Pat Pecora, the Hilltoppers opened with three straight wins starting at 125 lbs. with Logan Davis earning a 5-4 decision over No.7/5 Trevon Gray. At 133 lbs. James Armstrong followed up with a 6-3 win over Tyson Cook. The run continued at 141 with Tony Wood earning a major decision over No. 10/8 Mason Myers 14-2, as the Toppers jumped out to a 10-0 lead. 

At 157 lbs. the Hilltoppers would earn another win as Joran Waters defeated No.11/9 Cooper Warshel 5-0. At 165 lbs., No. 14/8 Alec Cook downed Gavyn Beck 4-1, to put WLU up 16-4. 

No.1 Ty McGeary would give the Hilltoppers another victory on the night with a 4-1 decision against Noah Gnibus. 

To close the night Parker Bentley would pick up a very impressive 4-1 win over No.3 Isaiah Vance.
