West Liberty, W.Va. - The No.16/18 West Liberty University men's wrestling team will host Fairmont State in their first home dual of the season, Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the ASRC.
The Hilltoppers have had a very successful start to the season with a second place finish at the Mount Union Invite to open the year. They also own an impressive 23-10 dual win over then No.9 Pitt-Johnstown. This past weekend at the King Open they had one champion - Logan Davis at 125 lbs. and eight other wrestlers placed.
The Topper grapplers also currently have five of their ten wrestlers ranked by "Open Mat".
Two-time NCAA champion Ty McGeary is No.1 at 184 lbs., Logan Davis is ninth at 125 lbs., Tony Wood is 15th at 141 lbs., Jordan Watters 12th at 157 lbs., Alec Cook 14th at 165.
Following their dual with the Falcons the Hilltoppers will compete in the Baldwin Wallace Invite Nov.23. They will return home Dec.22 for the Hilltopper Duals.
