West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's soccer team will step out of Mountain East Conference play on Sunday afternoon to welcome Salem to the hilltop. The Hilltoppers and Tigers are scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff at the West Family Athletic Complex.

WEST LIBERTY STORYLINES

• West Liberty enters Sunday's match with a record of 1-2-1 (1-1 MEC) on the season and is tied for second in the North Division of the Mountain East Conference standings with three points.
• The Black & Gold won their last match on Wednesday, defeating Notre Dame 2-0, for the first-ever win in program history over the Falcons as well as coach Pete McMenemy's first career win.
• The Hilltoppers have had five players score goals this season, as Amelia Compston leads the way with two and Mia Zecca, Holly Brighton, Asia Espiritu, and Morgan Kost have each found the back of the net once.
• Four different WLU players have assisted on goals this season, as Compston has tallied a team-best of three while Zecca, Isabella Aperfine, and Abigail Barki each have one.
• With a pair of goals and three assists, Compston is the team's points leader with seven through four matches. She is tied for first among the MEC League Leaders in both points and assists.
• In goal Zara Wickert and Libby Finn have split time this season with Wickert starting two most recent games and playing in three, while Finn started and played in the first two games of the year. Wickert has made 19 saves on 44 shots faced, posting a .950 save percentage and 0.45 goals against average. Fin has made ten saves on 27 shots faced, posting a .667 save percentage and 2.84 goals against average.
• Wickert is tied for the conference lead in save percentage, is tied for second in total saves, and tied for third in goals against average and saves per game.
• As a team, WLU's 29 saves currently ranks second in the MEC and their save percentage of .829 is fourth in the league.

• Salem enters Sunday's match with a record of 0-2 on the season following losses to Wheeling (5-1) and Frostburg State (7-0).
• Chloe Owens scored the lone goal of the season for the Tigers against Wheeling, scoring off assists by Marina Cher and Ana Luiza Ferrante.
• In goal, playing all 180 minutes thus far this season is Sarah Cabrera. She has made 29 saves on 64 shots faced, posting a .707 save percentage and 6.00 goals against average.
