Louisville, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the Easton Top-10 GPA's and Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2022-23 academic year on Tuesday afternoon with 20 of head coach Herb Minch's student-athletes earning scholar-athlete recognition.

As a team the West Liberty University softball program was one of 99 within NCAA Division II membership to earn a 3.0 GPA or higher, finishing the year with a GPA of 3.33. WLU's 20 student-athletes achieving scholar-athlete recognition were among 1,790 athletes in DII honored with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

West Liberty was one of four programs within the state of West Virginia to be honored by the NFCA by having a 3.0 GPA or better, joining Charleston and Frostburg State of the MEC and Salem, who is an independent.
