HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team was a 4-0 shutout victim against Barton (N.C.) College here Tuesday as play continued in the Hilton Head Spring Break event.
Coach Ronnie Hulewicz's Hilltoppers (4-2) lost all three doubles matches, giving the North Carolina squad a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
Things didn't get much better for the Black and Gold in singles action as Barton notched straight-set wins at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles to end the match with the three other singles games still in progress.
West Liberty has an off day on Wednesday but returns to the Hilton Head courts on Thursday to close out the event against Berry (Ga.).
