WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The #7 ranked West Liberty University wrestling team will be back home tomorrow for the Hilltopper Duals inside the ASRC.

The Hilltopper Duals will feature a round-robin event between four teams, including West Liberty. Beginning at 11 am, the Hilltoppers will wrestle three consecutive duals starting with a face off against Emory & Henry. Following that, Mountain East Conference foe Davis & Elkins will take the mat against the hosts. Rounding out the event, the Black and Gold will take on #15 Millersville in what is sure to be a thrilling finale.

West Liberty is on a 12-dual win streak entering the home event and is coming off a 33-10 triumph over Findlay, who was receiving votes in the latest NWCA rankings. Five nationally ranked 'Toppers highlight the lineup.

Cole Laya kicks things off at 125 ranked #1 in DII, he is 10-1 on the season and unbeaten in duals. Vincent Scollo is right behind Laya in the lineup at 133 and is #9 in the country. Scollo is 10-1, as well, in his first year dawning the Black and Gold and will get to face off against his old squad, D&E, in the middle match. #3 Ty McGeary (11-0) and #8 Jamar Williams (7-0) are both unbeaten at 184 and 157, respectively. McGeary has picked up five falls on the season and is coming off a 16-1 tech fall against Findlay. Williams stayed perfect on the year with a win over #11 ranked wrestler in his weight class on Sunday in his first home bout. Francesco Borsellino rounds out the ranked Hilltoppers in the 285-weight class with a #8 ranking. Borsellino rolled to victory with a 9-0 major last time out to improve his overall record to 4-1 on the season. Senior Jacob Simpson kept his strong start going on Sunday with a comeback 6-2 victory to improve to 13-3.

Emory & Henry has had a rough go of it in 2022-23, entering tomorrow with a 2-12 record in duals. The Wasps are coming off a 34-6 win over Southwest Virginia CC in the finale of the Cougar Duals, which they placed ninth at going 1-4 on the day. Emory & Henry's lone other win came against Davis & Elkins, 30-24, on opening day at the Glenville State Duals. Freshman Konor Gray leads the Wasps at 174 pounds and is coming off wins by fall and major decision in his last two outings.

Davis & Elkins picked up its first win of the season on Monday, a 38-14 victory over Bluefield State in front of its home crowd. The Senators snapped a seven-dual losing streak to start the season with the win. The 38 team points was a season-high and just the second time they eclipsed the 20 mark this season. Head Coach Andrew Colborn is in his first season with the Senators. Sophomore Wiley Houser leads the Red and Black at 157 after earning MEC Freshman of the Year a season ago.

#15 ranked Millersville comes to the hilltop with a 4-1 record in duals and has been victorious in each of its last three outings. The lone loss came against Division I George Mason, 35-0. Against DII competition, the Marauders have rolled past competition not allowing more than 12 points in any of the four duals. They are coming off a 28-10 win over East Stroudsburg in the home opener last Wednesday. Back in action for the first time in nine days, Millersville will have a pair of duals to get back in the swing of things before the nationally ranked battle commences.
