BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Liberty University sophomore goalkeeper
Noah Underwood has been selected as the Mountain East Conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
Underwood, a two-year starter from Belle, W.Va., posted his second clean sheet of the year on Friday as the Hilltoppers overwhelmed Frostburg State by a 5-0 count at Bobcat Stadium. The WLU netminder stopped all four Bobcat shots on goal in the mutual season finale.
It's the third MEC Player of the Week honor of the spring for Coach
Sean Regan's Black and Gold.
Josh Yeaman was last week's Offensive Player of the Week while
Mikel Ubeda was the March 29 Defensive Player of the Week.
