PHILIPPI, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's soccer team banged home two goals in a four-minute burst early in the second half and cruised to a 2-0 road shutout at Alderson Broaddus on Wednesday.

Barry Christmas' surging Hilltoppers (5-2-2, 4-1-2) strengthened their hold on second place in the Mountain East Conference North Division with the convincing win and improved to 3-0-1 in their last four matches.
Georgia Richardson put West Liberty on the board in the 59th minute when she scored at close range off an assist from
Alyssa Rhinaman.
Rhinaman also assisted on the second goal, sending a well-struck cross in from the left wing with
Rileigh Gualtiere putting it away for the clincher in the 63rd minute.
Kaitlyn Taylor made 3 saves in net to earn the shutout.
The WLU women go back on the road Sunday for a 1 p.m. match at the University of Charleston.
