BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Liberty University's
Kailey Pettit led virtually wire-to-wire here Saturday in winning the FSU Fall Women's Invitational, hosted by Fairmont State University at Bridgeport Country Club.
Pettit, a junior from Moundsville, W.Va., completed her tour of the challenging par 73 layout with a 5-over-par round of 78.
Fairmont State's Sydney Brill was three shots back at 8-over-par 81 with Davis & Elkins' Dorothy Romanek claiming third place in the medal chase at 82.
Cheyenne Morris backed Pettit for the WLU squad with a 99 as the Lady Hilltoppers turned in a team score of 422. Davis & Elkins took team honors with an 18-hole total of 368.
