WLU Soccer Earns Road Shutout at Urbana

Box Score URBANA, Ohio – Thanna Oddo scored an early goal here Sunday and the West Liberty University women's soccer team made it stand up to walk off with a 1-0 win against Urbana in a Mountain East Conference match at Urbana University Stadium.
Oddo, a junior striker from Pittsburgh, beat Blue Knight netminder Katherine Beech for an unassisted goal less than two minutes after the opening kickoff to account for the game's only score.
It was Oddo's fifth goal of the season and her third game-winner, tying her for the MEC lead in that category.
Coach Barry Christmas' Hilltoppers (6-4-3, 6-2-3) got it done with defense the rest of the way. Allie Warsaw had 5 saves in net for her fourth shutout of the season and West Liberty's seventh overall. The resurgent Black and Gold now has six wins and three draws in its last 10 matches.
The West Liberty women host league-leading Charleston on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at the West Liberty Soccer Complex.
