Box Score FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's soccer team dominated play from start to finish here Thursday night but couldn't get the ball past the Fairmont State keeper and settled for a scoreless draw under the lights at Duvall-Rosier Field.
Coach
Barry Christmas' Hilltoppers (0-4-2, 0-3-2) peppered the Falcons (0-6-1, 0-5-1) had a 27-13 edge in shots on the night and an even more eye-popping 15-2 advantage in shots on goal but came away with nothing to show for it.
Fairmont State keeper Shawna Graham turned aside all 15 shots by West Liberty, keeping the visitors off the scoreboard in an increasingly-chippy affair that saw the two teams combine for six yellow card cautions and one red card ejection.
The host Falcons put only two shots on net all night and Hilltopper keeper
Hannah Judkins stopped both of them to earn the shutout.
The West Liberty women return home on Sunday to host Ohio County rival Wheeling Jesuit. Kickoff is set for noon at the West Liberty Soccer Complex.
