MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The West Liberty University wrestling team got back on the winning track here Friday afternoon with an 18-15 victory against Millersville on the Marauders' home mat.
Millersville (6-7) jumped out to an early 9-6 lead but Coach Brian Davis' Hilltoppers (2-6) stormed back with four straight decisions and never trailed again. Millersville picked up wins at 184 and 197 to send the 285-pounders out to the mat with everything on the line in the final match of the night.
The Hilltoppers' Aaron Silverio proved more than up to the task, muscling out a 3-1 decision against MU's David Wuestner to close out the win. The West Liberty wrestlers head to nearby Shippensburg on Saturday for a triangular with American International and host Shippensburg.
