Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – Freshman keeper
Allie Warsaw and the West Liberty University defense came up big time and time again Wednesday afternoon as the Lady Hilltoppers battled MEC power West Virginia Wesleyan to a 0-0 draw at the West Liberty Soccer Complex.
The visiting Bobcats (3-0-1, 1-0-1), the defending MEC Tournament champions, launched a staggering 19 shots at the WLU cage but came away with nothing to show for it after 90 minutes of regulation and a pair of 10-minute extra periods.
West Liberty (1-1-2, 1-0-1) finished with 7 shots but couldn't find a way to get the game-winner past Wesleyan keeper Lauren Duncan.
Warsaw was charted with 8 saves in posting her second consecutive shutout while Duncan had 2 saves for the Bobcats.
The Hilltoppers hit the road on Saturday for a noon match at Concord.
