Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va.  – The West Liberty University women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision at Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon.
    Coach Barry Christmas's Hilltoppers (1-4, 0-2) jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Keiana Palmer cashed in a feed from Kylie Woyat in the 29^th minute and the Black and Gold carried that advantage into the second half.
    The host Rams (1-2, 1-0) turned the momentum and took control of the game with a three-goal outburst in a six-minute span midway through the second half.
    Kasey Canterbury knotted the score at 1 in the 58^th minute with Katie Marchun snapping the deadlock in the 62^nd minute. Taylor Amsley tacked on an insurance goal in the 64^th minute and the Hilltoppers were unable to answer.
    West Liberty returns to action on Friday with a 4 p.m. match against Ohio Valley University in Vienna, W.Va.
