Box Score ELKINS, W.Va.  – The West Liberty University women battled Davis & Elkins to the wire here Saturday only to see a late goal lock up a 2-0 victory for the host Senators.
    Coach Barry Christmas's first-year Hilltoppers (2-11, 1-6) battled on even terms for much of the opening half before D&E (10-1-2, 4-1-2) broke the scoring ice on a Sarah Fyock goal, assisted by Taylor Morton.
    West Liberty spent the rest of the day trying to drive the equalizer past Senator keeper Ashley Winkelspecht but the D&E netminder rose to the challenge, making three saves to earn the shutout.
    Fyock wrapped up the scoring and essentially put the game out of reach with an unassisted goal in the 82^nd minute.
    The Lady Hilltoppers make the lengthy jaunt to Athens on Tuesday for a 2 p.m. match against Concord.
