    A four-year starter, three-time All-West Virginia Conference honoree and two-time national qualifier during the early 1970s as a member of the West Liberty wrestling team, Pat Pecora went on to establish himself as one of the top wrestling coaches in NCAA Division II history.
    Pecora graduated from West Liberty in 1975 and became the youngest head wrestling coach in the nation the following year when he was handed the reins to the Pitt-Johnstown program. In more than four decades at UPJ, Pecora became the winningest coach at any level of collegiate wrestling with well over 600 wins.
    His teams have won two NCAA Division II national championships and 23 NCAA Division II regional titles. He has coached 14 individual national champions and more than 160 NCAA Division II All-Americans.
    The two-time National Coach of the Year has been inducted into eight Halls of Fame, including the NCAA Division II Wrestling Hall of Fame, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and the Pennsylvania Coaches' Hall of Fame. He is a two-time president of the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
