Michael Jebbia was the leading scorer on four straight Hilltopper basketball teams (1998-2002), increasing his point total every season on his way to a record-setting career.
Jebbia exploded onto the West Virginia Conference scene as the 1999 WVIAC Freshman of the Year before joining fellow WLSC Hall of Famer Tom Ackerman from 2000-02 as the only Hilltopper men's basketball players to earn three straight first-team All-WVIAC berths.
Jebbia finished his career as the second-leading scorer in school history with 2,067 points and was the model of consistency, reaching double figures in 103 of his 112 games. He shot well over 50 percent from the floor for his career and ranked among the school's top five in steals (177), assists (268) and single-game points (44 vs. Alderson Broaddus) when he hung up his jersey for the final time.
After graduating from West Liberty in 2003, Jebbia embarked on a highly-successful high school coaching and teaching career at Wheeling Park High School.
