The sure-handed LaFollette was one of the most decorated athletes in the college’s history, excelling on the gridiron from 1980-83. He was a rare three-time All-WVIAC First-Team honoree and a First-Team NAIA All-America selection following the 1981 season.
He saved his best for last as a senior, setting a school single-season record with 123 catches along with a school single-game record of 12 receptions.
LaFollette's skills caught the eye of pro football scouts as he was signed by the USFL's Orlando Renegades in 1984 only to see his professional debut season cut short by a career-ending knee injury.
The Woodsfield, Ohio native returned home to begin a highly-successful banking career with Citizens National Bank. LaFollette was promoted to President of Citizens National Bank in 2011.
