With Hamilton returning to the helm, the 1963 West Liberty team posted an outstanding 7-1-1 mark with Hamilton once again topping the 1,000-yard passing mark (1,104).
Hamilton finished his career ranked among the school's all-time leaders with 2,776 career passing yards and 25 touchdown passes.
After graduating from West Liberty, Hamilton pursued a teaching and administrative career in higher education. He taught at West Liberty from 1970-80, served as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Spring Hill (Ala.) College and served as President of Walsh (Ohio) University.
