HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team came out on the short end of an 8-1 count here Wednesday in its morning match with Limestone (N.C.) at the Hilton Head (S.C.) Invitational.

Sam McCullough's Hilltoppers trailed just 2-1 after the doubles matches as Vinnie Guarda and
Guilherme Lima gutted out a 9-8 win at No. 2 doubles but the North Carolina team dominated singles play, sweeping all six matches in straight sets.
West Liberty, which was rained out of a scheduled Tuesday match with Chowan (N.C.), will try to turn things around on Thursday with an 8 a.m. match against Tiffin (Ohio).
