    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The West Liberty University women's tennis team opened the spring portion of its schedule with a 6-3 win at Winston-Salem State on Saturday.
    Coach Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (14-2) won two of the three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches to post the convincing win.
    Raissa Wischi, Emily Dawson, Alex Barr and Zineb Houssaini all posted singles victories for the Black and Gold.
    The doubles tandems of Barr and Houssaini at No. 2 and Dawson and Sarah Howells at No. 3 also breezed to easy decisions in snapping the host Rams (3-4) three-match winning streak.
    The West Liberty women will begin competition in the Hilton Head (S.C.) Spring Break Invitational on Monday.
